Previews for Big Game ads by a number of automakers have been debuting for the past week, and many of them are giving us much-needed laughs. Yet oddly, Audi—who is known for ads like Prom Date and Doberhuahua—has decided to go a more serious route for their spot, called “Daughter,” which highlights the brand’s commitment to equality.

This isn’t the first time that Audi has called attention to its commitment to equality. In 2013, they announced to begin training veterans for specialized mechanic positions within the company. In this spot, a man watching his daughter taking part in a soap-box go cart race muses about how he’s going to explain the inequality in the world to her. We won’t spoil the good parts for you, so press play and take a look before the game.

If you came here in search of information on a brand new Audi, our dealership here in Iowa City, IA would be more than happy to help you get to know our lineup. Browse our inventory online and then schedule a test drive.
